Connecting to single or multiple mainframes through one or more TN3270 servers, Cleo TN3270 / 5250 supports every function of the TN3270 E specification. TN3270 / 5250 also provides a LU naming feature, HLLAPI (High-Level Language Application Program Interface), and supports both character and graphical interfaces.
IBM Mainframes still contain over 70% of the key corporate data. Legacy data access is often achieved through the execution of mainframe applications with a 3270 interface. Cleo’s products have been designed to quickly facilitate the integration of 3270 mainframe access into any application using either our legacy HLLAPI interface or our Transaction Designer.
The Transaction Designer is a modern programming tool that supports the .NET, Visual Basic, Java and Visual Studio development environments. The Transaction Designer allows the developer to quickly develop error free programs using “transactions” rather than detailed API calls. A typical transaction set for a financial application would include: “get account balance”, “get next check” and “get last deposit”.
Cleo’s TN3270/5250 also supports Web Services interfaces via XML.
