VersaLex Earns Drummond Certification for AS3 Interoperability
Cleo LexiCom and VLTrader now adhere to latest AS3 Messaging specifications
Rockford, IL— Cleo® Communications, a leading provider of data communications
products and services since the mid 1980’s, today announced that
VersaLex™ v4.0 achieved the latest Drummond Certification™
for AS3 interoperability. VersaLex is Cleo’s secure Internet communications
technology that powers Cleo’s client-based software, LexiCom™,
as well as Cleo’s managed file transfer solution, VersaLex Trader
(VLTrader™).
VersaLex again successfully completed tests for Very Large Message Exchange.
The test certified the ability of VersaLex to transfer large payloads,
up to 1GB. This capability allows industries transferring large payloads
to utilize VersaLex and the AS3 standard for secure, certified interoperable
communications. In addition to this optional test, VersaLex underwent
several rounds of rigorous testing to verify certificate and data exchange,
security, compression, and receipt capabilities. Cleo was among only five
companies to receive certification for AS3.
AS3 (Applicability Statement 3) is a messaging standard that allows businesses to securely exchange documents (EDI, XML or other data) over the Internet using the FTP/S protocol. AS3 enables users to connect, deliver and reply to data securely and reliably, thereby delivering cost savings and providing flexibility and control on how the data is utilized. Cleo Communications is an ongoing participant in the Drummond certification program, having participated in five consecutive AS3 testing rounds, since the inception of AS3 certification by Drummond in 2005.
The Drummond certification program provides neutral third party testing of solutions for interoperability and compliance. The current AS3 test results are listed on the Drummond Group (DGI) website at http://www.drummondgroup.com/html-v2/as3-companies.html.
