CLEO VersaLex v4.5 Release Enhancements
URI Payload Schemes: The Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) file system interface can be used to replace the standard inbox and outbox folders to store & retrieve payload files using an existing file management system, offering enhanced integration with virtually any data system. Pre-defined schemes include Java Message Service (JMS), Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) and VLPipe. Custom schemes can be created with Java.
OFTP2: Successful completion of OFTP2 Interoperability testing with the Organization for Data Exchange by Tele Transmission in Europe (Odette) ensures that CLEO and other OFTP2 certified solutions can reliably interact and exchange data with trading partners worldwide. CLEO is one of a limited number of companies certified for OFTP2, the newest version of the Odette File Transfer Protocol that includes security features that enable reliable data exchange over the Internet and faster transmission speeds. EBICS Client Protocol: The Electronic Banking Internet Communications Standard (EBICS) uses HTTPs over the Internet to facilitate data transport to transfer banking information between financial institutions and banking customers, including credit transfers, payment transactions, account statements and more. The EBICS data being transferred is packaged in XML, secured with AES encryption and signed at multiple levels using public and private key pairs. Secure Inbound Connections: Inbound connections can now be restricted to a secure connection for AS2, ebXML, OFTP and RNIF remote hosts, and FTP and HTTP local user hosts.
Resource Path Disablement: Under the Local Listener>Web Browser, access to CLEO VLTrader,
CLEO VLNavigator and CLEO VLPortal can be selectively disabled. And, for CLEO VLTrader and
CLEO VLNavigator, access via CLEO VLProxy can be disabled.
SOCKS Proxy: SOCKS proxy (v4 or v5) is now supported as a forward proxy.
AS3: AS3 certificate exchange now supports first-usage.
Additional Protocol Support: Support for SSH FTP, SSH FTP local users, HTTP local users, HTTPs, SMTPs,
RNIF and Web Services in the Certificate Exchange dialog allows scheduling of certificates for future use and
for emailing certificates and profiles to trading partners. Certificate expiration checking is now done for all
supported protocols.
Multi-Threading: With the new multi-threading capability in CLEO VLTrader’s scheduler, the number of scheduler threads can be tuned through Options>Other>Number of Scheduler Threads.
Java API Actions: Refer to ILexiCom.getSchedule() and ISchedule in the updated javadocs to configure the schedule for actions through the Java API.
Archiving: In addition to the existing local user sentbox and receivedbox directories in CLEO VLTrader, new local user archive directories can be configured to be outside the user's directory structure allowing archiving of sentbox and receivedbox files in the same way as remote hosts.
SSH FTP: Added support for zlib transport compression algorithms.
UI/API: Optimized UI/API updates to local user hosts with a large number of mailboxes.
Execute On Advanced Properties Commands: Added support for multiple commands in Execute On Advanced properties, including all operating system commands or selected action commands (e.g. LCOPY - see Email/Execute Based on Results). The commands must be separated by '&' to execute sequentially regardless of the status of the previous command or '&&'' if the previous command is errorless.

The CLEO VersaLex v4.5 release is available to all CLEO LexiCom and CLEO VLTrader customers under current support and is built into all new sales of CLEO software. This new release will provide even greater enterprise functionality within CLEO’s trusted, managed file transfer software.
